There is hot debate in Ireland at the moment, not over which players should be included in the Ireland Euro 2012 squad but, about which song should be this year's official Euro 2012 anthem.

Ireland have won the Eurovision song contest a record seven times but have lost their way since the early 90s, stooping as low as choosing Jedward to represent them in 2011 and at this year's festival in Baku.

Undeterred by this low point in the country's musical history, Irish football fans are keen to find a song that will galvanise the nation's players and football fans at Euro 2012.

The latest song in the running for official Irish football anthem is this ditty from Brendan and the Blacksticks:
