Jaime Morris has kindly dedicated an album to 'the Shirt 2010 project'. It is now available on itunes for download with 50% of the money from each track going directly to the project.
Please download a copy of 'More Than A Game' today.
Every CD or track sold helps us to provide school books, water pumps, goats etc. to projects such as the Mombasa Street Boys and the Chogo Refugee Camp. We can put this money directly into these projects so even one CD makes a real difference.
You can download the album by visiting the itunes site. Just click here to be redirected.
More Than A Game will be officially released on itunes on April 15. I encourage everybody to please download the title track or the album. 50% of the revenue goes directly to our project and will enable us to put money directly into worthy causes along our route and to help build our 'fans' embassy' in Cape Town for all the supporters at the World Cup to meet and learn about what we are trying to do.
Today both the Leicester Mercury and the Northampton Chronicle and Echo newspapers have featured stories about the project. Both these newspapers draw big circulations in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
The Northampton paper highlighted the fact that I am joining Bjorn later this week, while the Leicester Mercury mentioned Jaime Morris releasing an album in support of the project.
Bjorn was also featured in the Northampton Town matchday football programme ahead of their game with Torquay United on Easter Monday.
Thanks to both papers and Northampton Town FC for their support.
My last weekend in Latvia before I leave for Africa. Woke up this morning (with the usual sunday Riga hangover) and was struck by the realisation that the Africa adventure begins very soon.
Nice set by Goran Gora last night in Shot Cafe followed by the final Space Garage party before the club is sadly knocked down. The DJs put on a great show and there was a nice crowd in.
Riga boys Ozzy, Neil, Graham and Matt have promised to try and help me as much as possible when I am in Africa.
Jaime (in England) has finished the album, Ala (in Ireland) has done some excellent work on the CD cover design and the 'More than a game' CD is now on its way to itunes, ready for its official release in the next 2 weeks. Some great tunes on there, a couple of which you can grab a listen to by clicking here.
The currently untitled 'T2' is the pick of the bunch for me.
The Latvian Football Federation, the Estonian Federation and the Triobet Baltic League all contacted me today to give their official support to Bjorn and the team. I hope this will lead to loads more federations joining us.
Meanwhile, the demo tracks for the album by Jaime Morris, dedicated to the trip, are sounding excellent and should be up on itunes by April 8. The album cover is looking spot on.
